BIG SKY – The Yellowstone Conference Center at Big Sky Resort has been named one of 50 “Best in the West” meeting properties for the western region in the September issue of Meeting Focus magazine. This marks the 13th year Big Sky Resort has been honored with this award.
Readers are polled on hotels and resorts delivering a high-quality meeting experience. Properties are judged on the quality of meeting space, guest rooms, guest services and amenities, food and beverage service, high-tech services and equipment, recreational facilities and activities, the efficiency and helpfulness of staff, and overall value and experience.
The Yellowstone Conference Center is one of the largest convention centers in the state, with 55,000 square feet of meeting and function space and the ability to host up to 750 people with state of the art services. Meeting planners report increased attendance when meetings are held in popular destinations.
Located between Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and Yellowstone National Park’s West Entrance, Big Sky Resort offers conference participants outdoor adventures in their free time including the 18-hole, Arnold Palmer-designed Big Sky Resort Golf Course. Additionally, the resort has zip lining, scenic lift rides, and the Lone Peak Expedition, which shuttles visitors to the top of the tram at 11,166 feet for views of three states and two national parks.
Big Sky Resort is also the Biggest Skiing in America, a premier winter destination with 5,800 acres of terrain, 4,350 vertical feet, and 400 inches of annual snowfall. Big Sky Resort received the OnTheSnow.com’s Visitors’ Choice Awards for 2014 Best Terrain and 2013 Best Overall Resort.
