The 14th Annual Big Sky Christmas Stroll is this Friday, showcasing the best of Big Sky’s businesses on a night filled with holiday festivities, food, children’s activities, and a visit from Santa.
The Meadow Village Center, Westfork Meadow, and Big Sky Town Center will participate in the scavenger hunt, Lone Peak Brewery’s beer tasting tour and each commercial area will have their own set of must see events, raffles and drawings.
Santa will be arriving in his big, shiny sleigh (driven by the Big Sky Firefighters) at 5 p.m. in the Meadow Village Center for the Christmas Tree Lighting in front of Blue Ribbon Builders, accompanied by a caroler combo from the All Saints Choir & Ophir School. Be sure to get your photo taken and give letters to the jolly old man himself at Outlaw Partners before heading over to First Security Bank’s 6:30 magic show.
From there, Skyline is providing a free shuttle service to the Westfork Meadow area where the Scavenger Hunt and giveaways continue. GAS will be drawing for ski tunes alongside their hot chocolate bar, Eye in the Sky Photography has hidden two Golden Tickets amongst their scavenger hunt giveaways… the finders of these special tickets will win a family photo session package including prints. Enter their raffle for a chance to be the lucky recipient of a 40×55 original custom gallery piece.
Follow the festivities to the Town Center, where all the businesses will be open. Local artists and vendors will host markets above Big Horn Boutique displaying their goods, Jake’s Horses will have sleigh rides for the kiddos, ice skating will commence, and roast marshmallows for s’mores over the bonfire in Firepit Park. An 8:15 fireworks display will explode across the sky, followed by live music by the Cropdusters at Choppers.
Come out and kick off the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 9, and see what all of our local businesses have in store.

Event Details
My Barking Dog is a nightmare comedy that tells the story of Toby and Melinda, two lonely people whose lives are forever changed the night they encounter a starving coyote at their apartment building. Over time they grow to expect him, leaving ritual offerings to entice the coyote every night. Toby and Melinda forge a connection over this visitor and share curiosity and concern about his presence in the city. The coyote expands their world–until, one night, their world is shattered. Their lives are pushed suddenly into uncharted territory, sending them on a surreal odyssey that changes their city–and the world–forever.
