Former U.S. Ski Team member and 2010 National Super G winner Keely Kelleher is bringing her Keely’s Big Mountain Camp to Big Sky Resort April 19– 20.
The camp is designed for girls between the ages of 10-17 years old. Participants need to be an intermediate to advance skier to attend the camp.
The two-day camp aims to continue the development of strong, confident, and competent all around skiers in a pressure free environment, skiing big mountain terrain. It is targeted towards young girls who want to improve their confidence and big mountain skiing skills.
“Big Sky has everything a girl needs to learn confident skiing,” said Kelleher, who grew up in Big Sky. “From skiing off the tram to progressing their skiing off piste on easier terrain, Big Sky has it all and I am excited to share my home mountain with the girls.”
Girls attending the camp will be coached by big mountain pro female skiers who will provide video analysis to help the girls gain visual perspective of their skiing strengths and weaknesses and provide avalanche awareness education. A mini competition will be held on the last day with prizes.
Crystal Wright and Brenna Kelleher will joining Keely as coaches to Keely’s Big Mountain Camp at Big Sky Resort, with additional coaches announced later. Wright is the 2012 Subaru Freeskiing World Tour Campion and 2009 Freeskiing World Tour Champion. Brenna (Keely’s sister) ski raced for NCAA Division l Montana State University and is currently a ski instructor and guide for Big Sky Resort leading advanced women’s and youth specific clinics.
