The Montana Post Secondary Educational Opportunities Council will
host three weeks of college fairs throughout Montana beginning Sept. 12.
MPSEOC has conducted statewide college fairs since 1987. As many as 12,000
high school seniors and/or juniors will attend the fairs with their
classmates, families, and guidance counselors.

The college fairs give students an opportunity to contemplate their options
after high school. Students can visit with representatives from in-state and
out-of-state colleges and universities, technical and trade schools, and
military branches.

Although the fairs are geared to high school students, they are open to the
general public, parents and anyone who is interested in pursuing
post-secondary education.

Another highlight of the college fairs is the College Ca$h Scholarship
Program. In its eighth year, the College Ca$h Program gives away up to 15,
$1,000 scholarships to students across the state. This year, MPSEOC will
award five scholarships in each region of the state (Eastern, Central and
Western). The scholarships are awarded by a random drawing from the names of
students who attend the college fairs. Both high school juniors and seniors
are eligible to sign up. The entire $15,000 in scholarships is made possible
by the donations from corporate sponsors.
