BIG SKY – The Rotary Club of Big Sky has selected three Lone Peak High School students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp this summer.

The club selected Bella Butler, Bianca Godoy and Luisa Locker – all of whom will be in 10th grade next year – based on their leadership potential, academic achievement and involvement in extracurricular activities. During the camp, the students will hear speaker presentations and participate in challenging group discussions and activities.

Held by Montana’s Rotary District 5390 at Luccock Park Camp south of Livingston, the camp includes a weeklong leadership skills conference and draws students from around Montana and northern Wyoming.

Rotary Club of Big Sky includes professionals and business leaders from around the Big Sky area. Worldwide, Rotary has more than 31,000 clubs that carry out humanitarian projects related to issues including poverty, health, hunger, education and the environment.

The Rotary Club of Big Sky was formed in 2006 and has done both community and international projects including improvements to the Big Sky Community Park and Kircher Park, bus shelters and emergency telephones in the Gallatin Canyon.
