ARTS COUNCIL OF BIG SKY
The Arts Council of Big Sky is pleased to bring a production of Montana Ballet Company’s “The Nutcracker” to the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.
MBC’s production of “The Nutcracker,” set to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score, is one of the largest artistic collaborations in the region featuring the work of accomplished dancers, local and national level choreographers, guest artists, live musicians, seasoned stage technicians, lighting and costume designers, and a host of dedicated volunteers. For this special performance at WMPAC, a live chamber orchestra will perform the music and the ballet will feature local dancers under the direction of Jennifer Waters.
“We are thrilled to be bringing this popular holiday event to Big Sky for the first time,” said Arts Council of Big Sky Executive Director Brian Hurlbut. “It’s exciting to partner with Montana Ballet and showcase our local dancers.”
This performance is underwritten by NorthWestern Energy, the Montana Arts Council and the Spanish Peaks Community Foundation. Tickets can be purchased on the WMPAC web site at warrenmillerpac.org. For more information on the event please call (406) 995-2742 or visit bigskyarts.org.
