Symphony Storytime

September 18, 2024 @ 10:15 am - 10:45 am

The Bozeman Symphony invites parents to bring their young children to an exciting
and interactive Symphony Storytime session at the Bozeman Public Library’s
Community Room on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 10:15 a.m. This special event, held
during the regular Toddler and Preschool Storytime, is designed to engage
children ages 3 to 5 through a captivating blend of music and storytelling.

This free program will feature Bozeman Symphony’s talented English Horn player, Mateo
Mendez, who will accompany Montana Shakespeare in the Parks Artistic Director Riley
O’Toole as they bring a beloved storybook to life. Following the story, Mendez
will perform a short piece showcasing the unique sounds of the English Horn,
offering children a delightful introduction to the instrument. Later that day,
students at Bozeman HRDC Head Start will also enjoy this enriching experience.

‘We aim to spark a love for music, literacy, and discovery in young children,’
says Cierra Wallace, Education and Community Engagement Coordinator for the
Bozeman Symphony.’By partnering with local organizations, we strive to
introduce children to a wide range of stories, cultures, and musical
experiences, nurturing their curiosity and imagination.’

Mark your calendars for future Symphony Storytime sessions at the Library and Head Start
on October 9, November 9, 2024, and January 15, February 19, March 19, April
23, May 14, and June 4, 2025.
