Starlite Studios, a Bozeman-based dance studio, is celebrating the grand opening of Story Mill Studio on Sept. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. The studio location is in the city’s northeast side at Story Mill Community Center, 600 Bridger Dr. The event is in partnership with the Bozeman Parks and Recreation Department and will include a ribbon cutting, dance performances, a studio tour, drink and food, including local beer from Sawdust and Steel Brewing.
Starlite Studios is a hub for dance and community activities. The arts organization moved toward child-oriented summer programming and online school assistance during the pandemic. The continued popularity of these services led to the partnership with the City of Bozeman, and expansion into Story Mill Studio.
“We were working on expanding cultural arts programming within our department and began to hear from residents about the need for more accessible dance space,” said Jamie Saitta, City of Bozeman recreation manager. “Our partnership with Starlite Studios gave us the opportunity to better meet those needs for our community, and the timing was just right.”
The event is free and open to the public.
