Open only to BEGINNERS in local Big Sky, ages 16 and up! Have you ever wanted to try outdoor painting (plein air)
but didn’t know where to start or did not have the equipment? Then this 3 day workshop is for you! Offered FREE to first 6 participants who sign
up! No experienced needed. However, you must be from Big Sky or the
Gallatin Canyon to participate.
During the month of June, plein air painters from all over
will descend upon Big Sky for PAINT UNDER THE BIG SKY (PUBS)
to paint our glorious scenery.
Sponsored by the Big Sky Artists’ Studio & Gallery
and the Big Sky Resort Tax District, and taught by local plein
air landscape painter, Annie McCoy and others, we provide easels, brushes,
palettes, paint and all the accessories to get you through a painting.
June 7: Friday, 4-8pm
June 8
& 9: Saturday & Sunday 10am-6pm
If you choose, your painting
can be entered and judged in the PUBS show from June 29-July 31.
You bring a large hat,
sunscreen, bug spray, water, lunch, comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, a small
sketch book and a #2 soft pencil. Be promise a fun time!!
