On Giving Tuesday today, Dec. 3, community members across the world will be encouraged to give back to nonprofits and community initiatives. The Bozeman-based nonprofit Human Resource Development Council asks southwest Montana residents to consider helping its efforts to combat homelessness and ensure everyone has a warm place to sleep.

A Dec. 3 press release stated that all Giving Tuesday donations to HRDC will help provide time-sensitive resources like emergency shelter, bedding, food and supportive services for individuals and families without stable housing, with the goal of connecting those less fortunate to long-term solutions.

“Every donation makes a tangible difference,” stated Vanessa Palmer, HRDC

communications director. “Together, we can ensure no one in our community is left out

in the cold.”
HRDC operates emergency shelters in Bozeman and Livingston. Both are entirely funded by community support. The release noted that community members can help by donating online, volunteering their time and services, and spreading the word.
