BIG SKY – The Warren Miller Performing Arts Center, located in Big Sky’s Gallatin Canyon, is launching into the second performance of their debut season on the evening of Jan. 11 with a performance by the Chicago-based Second City Comedy Group. With scripted and improvisational elements, audiences enjoy being part of the show and playing along with the next generation of comic legends.
From SCTV to Saturday Night Live, on stages in Chicago and Toronto and on tours around the world, Second City has been spreading its trademark comedic and improvisational sensibility for half a century. This institution, which the New York Times calls “a comedy empire,” is known as a “diversified entertainment company” with one compelling mission: Laughter, and lots of it.
Only handicap seating is available for Second City, but tickets are still on sale for the Portland Cello Project, Moth, Brubeck Brothers, and Ukrainian pianist Antonii Baryshevskyi. The remaining three acts (Poets’ Congress, Big Sky Commission, and Mark Applebaum) go on sale Feb. 1.
A cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres catered by Bucks T-4 are offered before each performance at 6:30 p.m. Show time is at 7:30 p.m. For tickets, visit warrenmillerpac.org.
The Second City performance at WMPAC is graciously sponsored by American Bank.
