You can’t go wrong with fruit, roasted nuts and chunks of organic dark chocolate.
Clif Bar nailed the flavors on its new, gluten-free MOJO snack line, released this spring: Cranberry Almond, Wild Blueberry Almond, Coconut Almond Peanut, Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt, and Dark Chocolate Cherry Almond.
The five flavors in the CLIF MOJO Fruit & Nut and CLIF MOJO Dark Chocolate are made with 70 percent organic ingredients, none of which are genetically engineered. A good source of fiber, each bar is 200 calories or less. They contain no trans fat, partially-hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or synthetic preservatives. My only beef is they’re a bit small.
Clif Bar & Company has taken a stand on the value of organics, and to date, its organic ingredient usage totals more than 425 million pounds.
