This knife reminds me of one I used for whittling as a kid, only better. The locking mechanism on the large blade is definitely something I should’ve had, and the ergonomic shape and non-slip rubber grip material makes opening boxes of magazines (my main use) a sturdy proposition. At 3.1 ounces, the EvoGrip S18 ($74.95) is light enough to live in my purse, and the bright yellow makes it easy to find among the flotsam and jetsam. The Phillips head screwdriver is a must, as is the bottle opener for Friday afternoon creative jam sessions. The only thing that would make it better is a corkscrew.
