The Arts Council of Big Sky will hold its fifth annual Skull & Roses Ball on Friday, Oct. 30, at Tips Up in Big Sky Town Center. Cosmic Possum, a Grateful Dead cover band from Park City, Utah, will perform.
The Halloween event features live music, dancing and costume contests with prizes in several categories. Guests are encouraged to come in costume, with Grateful Dead and “Skull and Roses” themes welcome.
“The Skull & Roses Ball is really just about having fun together,” Brian Hurlbut, executive director of the Arts Council of Big Sky, said. “It’s one of those nights when people can dress up, hear great live music, and enjoy being part of this community. We’re excited to celebrate five years of it with Cosmic Possum.”
Cosmic Possum is made up of veteran musicians from Utah’s Summit County music scene. The band plays songs from across the Grateful Dead’s career and performed two shows at Tips Up last winter.
Advance tickets are $20 and available at bigskyarts.org. Proceeds support the Arts Council of Big Sky.
