For nearly a decade, Quincey Beauchaine has been helping clients navigate life’s biggest financial decisions. Now, after acquiring a longtime Bozeman practice in January 2025, she’s leading the firm into a new chapter with a name that reflects the way the business has grown and evolved.
Formerly known as Hudak Financial Strategies, the practice is now Stone Leaf Financial—a rebrand that honors the firm’s history while looking toward its future. While the name is new, the foundation of the business remains unchanged.

The new identity was chosen with intention. “Stone is supposed to signify a strong foundation—one that Alex Hudak built. We’re not a new company. He built a strong foundation with the business,” Beauchaine said. “The leaf is supposed to represent growth—us within the company. It also goes with our investing philosophy too. You need a strong foundation before you can do much investing, and you also want to invest in companies that have a strong foundation.”
More than a visual refresh, the new name reflects how the firm has evolved. Stone Leaf Financial represents a collaborative team that works together to help clients navigate every stage of their financial lives. The rebrand acknowledges both the firm’s history and the way it serves clients today.
That philosophy extends well beyond investment management. The team approaches financial planning as an ongoing relationship, helping individuals, families, and small business owners work through everything from retirement and estate planning to tax strategies, education savings, and major life transitions. Staying connected with clients allows the advisors to provide guidance as challenges arise, understanding and considering their values and goals.
“A big misconception is that financial planning is really just about investments, but we take a much wider approach to looking at people’s financial lives,” Beauchaine said. “We’re constantly trying to be informed about what’s going on in our clients’ lives and being there through the changes and transitions that are happening so we can be proactive.”
Many clients first come to Stone Leaf Financial during moments of uncertainty. Whether they’re preparing for retirement, navigating the loss of a loved one, going through a divorce, or celebrating a marriage, they’re often looking for someone to bring clarity to decisions that can feel overwhelming. The team sees its role as more than managing finances, it’s about providing steady guidance through life’s biggest transitions.
Retirement planning is one area where that approach comes to life. Rather than simply encouraging clients to save, the team focuses on helping them understand what their savings actually mean for the future. Through conversations, planning tools, and visual projections, clients gain a clearer picture of what retirement can realistically look like.
“A lot of people just throw money into a 401(k) because they know they’re supposed to but rarely understand what it’s going to do for them,” Rebecca Skirvin, client services associate at Stone Leaf Financial, said. “We use a lot of visuals and strive to meet people where they’re at so we can help them see how their money can serve their future.”
As an independent practice affiliated with Raymond James, Stone Leaf Financial combines personalized local service with the resources of one of the country’s largest independent financial services firms. The partnership gives clients access to extensive research, technology, and investment expertise while allowing the firm to maintain the independence and personalized approach that have defined it from the beginning.
Looking ahead, the team sees the rebrand as a reflection of where the firm is headed. With a collaborative staff and a focus on building relationships that span decades, Stone Leaf Financial hopes to be a trusted resource through every stage of a client’s financial journey.
“Being a young advisor in this field, we’re presented with a great opportunity to be a part of many people’s journeys—from buying their first home to planning retirement—and be involved throughout that whole process,” Nick Williams, paraplanner at Stone Leaf Financial, said.
That long-term perspective is paired with a commitment to consistency. The team hopes clients will see Stone Leaf Financial not simply as a place to manage investments, but as a trusted partner they can rely on through every season of life.
“A huge value that we really hold here is consistency,” Skirvin said. “We want to be that consistent presence and voice for people; one they can come to throughout life’s transitions.”
Built on a strong foundation and focused on long-term growth, Stone Leaf Financial is entering its next chapter with the same mission that has guided the firm from the beginning: putting clients first.
