In celebration of the annual Give Big Gallatin Valley fundraising event, the Arts Council of Big Sky is hosting a kickoff party on Thursday, April 30 at the Big Sky Center for the Arts from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Nonprofit organizations in and around Big Sky will be there to celebrate and share the important work they do. Community members are encouraged to attend to meet the people behind these organizations, learn about their impact and explore ways to get involved.
The evening will have trivia bingo, kids bingo and prize drawings for completed bingo cards. Food and drinks will be provided from Blue Moon Bakery, with proceeds supporting participating nonprofits.
The following week, the arts council will celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Tuesday, May 5 at the Big Sky Center for the Arts. The free event aims to bring people together to celebrate and learn more about Hispanic and American traditions while welcoming the spring season.
Live music will be provided by DJ QueenE with optional dance lessons led by local instructors. Kids can get creative with piñata making, filling their creations with wishes and positive thoughts for the community. The evening will also feature a traditional fiesta piñata filled with candy for everyone to enjoy.
