On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Revitalized Restoration and the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting for the renovated Big Sky Community Food Bank. Over the summer, Revitalized Restoration, a property damage mitigation and restoration company that serves southwest Montana, donated their services to completely renovate the food bank for patrons, volunteers and staff.
From 4 to 6 p.m., community members are invited to an open house with beverages, appetizers and live music to celebrate the renovation and the Human Resource Development Council’s 50th anniversary—HRDC operates food banks among other services across the greater Bozeman region. Attendees can also bring along donations for Can the Griz, the annual food donation contest between the Bozeman and Missoula communities leading up to the Nov. 22 Cat-Griz game.
Parking is available at the Resort-Tax-owned corner property across the pedestrian bridge from the food bank, and the event will be indoors and outdoors with the food bank space open and a heated tent outside.
“This will be an opportunity to see the redesigned Big Sky Community Food Bank space, celebrate our renovation partners, connect with the community, and honor HRDC’s 50 years of service to southwest Montana,” Sarah Gaither, operations manager of the Big Sky Community Food Bank, stated in an email.
