The Bozeman Schools Foundation—an organization that works to create opportunities for district students through community support—is seeking to erase school lunch debt by Jan. 3. Bozeman’s total student lunch debt stands at more than $18,000 but has been reduced to $14,000 after a recent $4,000 donation from First Interstate Bank, according to BSF.

“All funds raised over and above the current debt will be applied to providing other nutritional support for students during school,” the foundation’s website stated, noting that these services include free breakfasts and assistance stocking emergency pantries.
