On Friday, Aug. 15 from 6 to 10 p.m., the Kimpton Armory Hotel in downtown Bozeman will celebrate its five year anniversary with a Wood and Whiskey Festival, a nod to the traditional fifth anniversary gift of wood and “a tribute to Montana’s rich whiskey culture,” according to a press release from the hotel.
The Wood and Whiskey Festival will feature an evening of live music from Clint Anderson and The Montana Gazette, local spirits and $5 food and drink specials across the hotel’s signature venues—Fielding’s, Sky Shed and Tune Up. To fulfill the “whiskey” in the event title, the evening will feature a whiskey tasting experience with pours from Lazy K Bar Whiskey, Bozeman Spirits, Wildrye Distilling and Whistling Andy, showcasing the craftsmanship of regional distillers.
“We wanted to honor this milestone in a way that reflects the spirit of the hotel—rooted in Montana tradition, elevated by community, and driven by unforgettable experiences,” Anthony Benge, general manager of the Armory Hotel stated in the press release. “Wood and Whiskey felt like the perfect way to celebrate five years with our guests, neighbors and friends.”
The Armory opened its doors in 2020 after an effort to revitalize the original Armory building, designed by famed Bozeman architect Fred F. Willson. The Wood and Whiskey Festival is open to the public, and all are welcome to join the festivities.
