As we anticipate more snow, Bridger Ski Foundation will host their 56th annual Ski Swap Nov. 2-3 at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman. The swap features over 10,000 items for sale, according to a press release from BSF, including cross-country skis, fat powder skis, snowboards, poles, backpacks, helmets, boots and a variety of winter clothing. It’s the largest fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit club, which provides ski programs for more than 1,000 youth and adults and also grooms a vast network of winter trails in and around Bozeman, including snowmaking at Sunset Hills.
“The BSF Ski Swap is also a community service. It gives the people of Montana easy access to more affordable ski gear,” BSF Communications Director Jenny White said. “Instead of skis gathering dust in someone’s garage for 20 years, we’re getting those items circulating back into the community.”
Those who wish to consign can pre-register items online by Oct. 29 and drop off Nov. 1 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds. A full schedule of the weekend is as follows:
Friday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.: Drop off pre-registered consignment items.
Saturday, Nov. 2, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Swap begins with a $5 admission fee for all entrants.
Children under 12 are free. BSF members, Trail Members and volunteers get in free at 9 a.m.
Sunday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Day two of ski swap with a $2 admission and free after 12 p.m. Any sales tags marked “discount” will have a 50% markdown on Sunday.
