The Custer Gallatin National Forest announced on Tuesday, Sept. 2 that the Cinnamon Buck Trail No. 6 in the Hebgen Lake Ranger District is temporarily closed due to the presence of bear attractants in close proximity to the trail.

The trail is closed between the junction of Trail No. 174 and Trail No. 8 and will remain in effect until Sept. 16, unless it is otherwise deemed safe to open sooner. Forest users are encouraged to remain bear aware while recreating on the National Forest, especially as the weather cools and bears become more active.
