Custer Gallatin National Forest has launched a new monthly podcast called Forest Focus: Custer Gallatin National Forest, which offers listeners an inside look at the people, places and stories from the national forest’s regional public lands.

Forest Focus’ debut episode features the Snowmobile Operations for Law Enforcement Course, a three-day training held in West Yellowstone. Led by the CGNF law enforcement team, the course brings together officers from agencies across the country to develop skills essential for maintaining public safety in winter and snow-covered environments.
“We are excited to share our new podcast with the public. Utilizing this platform allows us to share our story about all the great work the Custer Gallatin National Forest is doing and provides the forest an opportunity to share personal accounts of forest employees and our partners who are dedicated to the stewardship of our public lands,” said Matt Jedra, CGNF forest supervisor. “Our first episode is focused on the Snowmobile Operations for Law Enforcement Course program, a unique law enforcement training program led by Custer Gallatin Law Enforcement officials. The course utilizes snowmobile operations to equip officers from various agencies with the skills needed to become proficient in wintertime backcountry travel.”
Forest Focus is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other major podcast platforms and will release new episodes monthly.
