Gallatin County is creating a “Future Land Use Map” and “Housing Strategy” and is seeking public engagement.

“Once developed, the FLUM will provide guidance for growth and development, and serve as the planning foundation for future zoning reform,” a March 14 release from the Gallatin County Community Development department stated.

The FLUM and HS is based on the 2021 Growth Policy, and the initial round of engagement will be in March 2024 with follow ups in late summer and fall of this year. On Tuesday, March 19, the first engagement meetings will take place: one at the Bozeman Public Library Community Room at 6 p.m. and the other in Big Sky at the water and sewer office at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday March 20, two more meetings will be held in Gallatin Gateway and Manhattan. A zoom meeting will be held on Thursday, March 28, and anyone interested can use the provided link
