The Gallatin County Commission passed the final resolution for the meadow park district today. They had received less than 1 percent protests, and several letters and comments in support. Steve White was not in attendance, so it was passed by Murdoch and Skinner. Despite phone calls received in the past month, there was not anyone present who opposed the district, so it passed with ease.
The next step is to accomplish the Madison county side. Due to the notice of hearing confusion, the Commission has decided it would be best to host the hearing in Big Sky on September 6 to pass the resolution of intent. That will start the 30 day comment period, so the parks group will be a bit behind getting the interlocal agreement signed and the board seated.
