This year, Give Big Gallatin Valley, the valley’s annual fundraising event produced by One Valley Community Foundation, will be entirely fee-free, allowing 100% of donations to go directly to local nonprofits.
The 24-hour fundraising event runs from 6 p.m. April 30 to 6 p.m. May 1 and will feature 266 nonprofits across Gallatin County. Fees are being covered through a donation from the Jill and Nicholas Woodman Foundation.
“As longtime supporters of Give Big, we’ve seen how powerful it is when the entire community shows up at once,” said Jill and Nicholas Woodman in an April 15 press release from One Valley. “Covering the fees was our way of making that generosity go even further. We want every dollar given during Give Big to land fully in the hands of the nonprofits doing the work.”
Give Big has become a major local fundraising effort, generating $2.9 million in 2025 and more than $20.4 million since its launch in 2015. Organizers say removing fees, which can equate to more than $100,000 annually, will simplify giving and ensure every dollar donated goes directly to participating organizations.
“Give Big has become a meaningful tradition for our community,” said Bridget Wilkinson, president and CEO of One Valley Community Foundation in the release. “Making this year fee-free means donors can give with confidence, knowing their full gift is going directly to the
nonprofits they care about.”
The event aims to engage more than 6,000 donors this year while continuing to offer matching funds and incentive prizes to boost contributions.
