Happy Halloween! Big Sky has spooky and festive events for ghosts and ghouls of all ages this year. Whether you’re looking for a frighteningly good time on the dance floor, to put your pumpkin decorating skills to the test, or to cozy up with a classic scary movie, there’s something for everyone. A three day Halloween celebration presented by Lone Mountain Land Co. and Big Sky Real Estate Co. in the Big Sky Town Center.

Skull and Roses Ball
The Waypoint, 8 p.m.

The Arts Council of Big Sky will host its third annual Skull and Roses Ball as part of the Haunted Peaks Halloween Festival featuring a costume competition with prizes, themed drinks and raffles, and music by DeadPhish Orchestra.

Haunted Run
Moving Mountains, 1 p.m.

Rock your favorite costume and brave 5K of fun Halloween themed challenges at the 5th Annual Haunted Run. Race starts at 1 p.m. for adults and 2:45 p.m. for kids.

Mini Monster Mash Kids Party
The Waypoint, 3 p.m.

Presented by  Big Sky PTO & Rocky Mountain Toy Co., the Mini Monster Mash Kids Party includes a kids costume contest, dance party and classic Halloween movies. Bring your best pumpkin design for a chance to win the 2024 Pumpkin King & Queen Carving Competition.

Haunted Peaks window display contest
Town Center, contest ends Oct. 27 at 10 p.m.

Stroll through downtown and admire the spooky creativity of local merchants and artists as they decorate their stores for our annual windows and displays competition. Vote for your favorites by scanning the QR code at participating businesses.

Dia de los Muertos
Len Hill Park, 1 p.m.

Join The Arts Council of Big Sky for Big Sky’s annual Dia de los Muertos celebration. Come build ofrendas, place votives and celebrate the memories of departed loved ones together. There will be face painting, traditional cuisine, and music by a local DJ.
