Bozeman journalist Todd Wilkinson will lead a talk and panel discussion, “Loving Our Wild Backyard: How Can We Save The Mini-American Serengeti?” at Museum of the Rockies on Wednesday, April 9 at 7 p.m.
The event will be held both in-person and livestreamed free as a part of Gallatin Valley Earth Day events. Those interested in the livestream option are asked to register ahead of the event.
The panel will include a conversation with experts about the ways that development threatens southwest Montana’s wildlife, working farms, ranches and open space, as experts discuss options for saving the best of the Northern Rockies that remain.
Panelists include: Chet Work, executive director of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust; Cindy Riegel, former chair of the Teton County, Idaho Commission; Deb Davidson, chief strategy officer at the Center for Large Landscape Conservation; Eric Ruark, director of research and sustainability at NumbersUSA; Randy Carpenter, executive director of Friends of Park County and professional planner and consulting planner for the town of Three Forks.
