Middle Creek Montessori has begun construction on Gallatin Valley’s first Montessori middle school, with the new campus expected to open in fall 2026.
Middle Creek Montessori is located off of Huffine on Cobb Hill road, and has provided preschool to middle school services to the Bozeman community. They launched its middle school program this year with an inaugural class and is expanding to serve students in grades 6–8.The new facility is designed specifically for adolescents and will support hands-on, project-based learning alongside strong social-emotional development.
To support construction and programming, Middle Creek Montessori has started a community capital campaign and invites local residents and businesses to contribute to the project as it works to meet growing demand for middle school options in the Gallatin Valley.
“What makes Middle Creek so special is that our adolescents are surrounded not just by peers, but by the consistency of trusted adults and a strong community that makes them feel empowered, seen, and welcomed,” said Krista Barnett, head of School at MCM. “Our students grow even deeper into themselves, exploring who they are and feel proud and encouraged to be authentic. The social-emotional experience they have is at the heart of what makes Montessori such a powerful educational approach.”
