Montana State University will launch a free shuttle service this fall that will transport people to and from locations on campus, including parking lots at the university’s perimeter, the campus core, University Student Apartments and the MSU Innovation Campus.

The new CatTracks shuttle service will run 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Shuttle vans will run continuously during those hours on two routes. Service begins Wednesday, Aug. 21.

The Gold route will circle main campus with stops at Bobcat Stadium, along 11th Avenue, near Rendezvous Dining Pavilion, along Sixth Avenue and at the Strand Union Building.

The Blue route will traverse the western portion of campus, with stops at 11th and Lincoln, the MSU Innovation Campus (including the Nopper Building), and along 15th Avenue south of College Street with a stop on Garfield Street near the ASMSU Early Learning Center.

“CatTracks will be a safe and convenient way for our students, faculty, staff and visitors to get to/from various locations on our growing campus,” said Lt. Randy Crandall, head of MSU Parking and Transportation Services. “This has become more important as our need for academic and student services space has resulted in more campus perimeter parking and more employees located at the Innovation Campus.”

Riders can keep track of the location of the shuttles in real time, by downloading the Passio GO from the Apple App Store or the Google Play store and searching for Montana State University within the app.

More details and route maps are available at https://www.montana.edu/parking/shuttle.html.
