The Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University will host its annual Taste of the Rockies event on Thursday, June 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The community is invited to an evening of music, food and fun, which is a fundraiser for the museum.
Proceeds from the event, including ticket sales, a silent auction, raffle and games, support the museum’s Opening Doors initiative, which provides free admission, educational tours and family memberships to more than 30,000 children and underserved Montanans each year.
“Your ticket isn’t just admission to a fantastic summer party. It’s a gift of belonging, inspiration and wonder for those who need it most,” said Alicia Harvey, the museum’s senior director of marketing. “Together, we’re creating access to the kinds of experiences that spark curiosity, confidence and connection.”
MOR’s Taste of the Rockies will feature live country music from www.Twang and line dancing lessons led by Western Roots Country Dancing. Guests will enjoy delicious regional bites and two complimentary drinks while participating in activities such as fly-tying, steer roping and gold panning. Indigenous chef and storyteller Mariah Gladstone will share cuisine and cultural insights throughout the evening, and Blackpot Distillery will offer a whiskey tasting in the historic Tinsley House.
The event is limited to guests ages 21 and older, and tickets are $60 to $65 for general admission and $125 for VIP admission. VIP guests will enjoy unlimited drinks, exclusive gifts and early access to the silent auction. Tickets are available at museumoftherockies.org/signature-events/tor.
