EBS STAFF
With Halloween approaching, fans of the spooky season ponder what they’ll dress up as this year. Whether preparing for a festive holiday party, or trick-or-treating with friends and family, creative costumes are a commodity. To keep Halloween eco-friendly and cost-effective this season, the Refillery Supply Co. in Bozeman will host a costume swap on Saturday, Oct. 18 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The Refillery is a household and beauty product refill shop located at 601 E Cottonwood St. that provides cleaning and beauty products such as laundry soap, shampoo and lotion, in bulk to fill into customer’s reused containers.
“Halloween is a huge plastic holiday (think costumes, candy wrappers, decorations, the list goes on and on),” stated Refillery owner Sarah Sloan in a social media post. “We all have costumes in the back of our closets we don’t need anymore. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.”
Bring washed and reusable costumes and costume accessories by the shop during business hours between now and Saturday, on hangers if you have them available to donate. They will accept adult, kid, baby, any size or type. All costumes left after the swap will be donated locally.
