Grabow becomes Lone Peak’s fourth-ever all-state selection

The two guys who connected for a spectacular alley-oop dunk in February have been recognized for their wider body of work leading Lone Peak High School’s basketball team.
Senior Ebe Grabow earned all-state basketball recognition from opposing coaches in district 5B, becoming the fourth all-state baller in program history alongside Isaac Bedway (2025), Max Romney (2023) and Eddie Stars (2017). Meanwhile, Junior Ryan Malinowski was named first-team all-conference for District 5B, a feat also attained by Grabow. Only six players from seven teams earned first-team all-conference.
Grabow, who will play football at Montana State University, finished his career at second on Lone Peak’s all-time scoring list, with 1,210 points, and is one of three players to top 1,000 points. He also finished second all-time in 2-point shots with 383, fourth in 3-pointers with 90, fourth in rebounds with 361, third in steals with 168, and second in assists with 226. His senior season included career highs in total points with 344, and points per game with 17.2.

Head coach Al Malinowski called Grabow one of the most well-rounded players in school history. He earned similar accolades including division MVP during his senior football season.
Sharp-shooting Ryan Malinowski scored 372 points in his junior season, averaging 18.6 points per game—good for third-best in program history behind two productive seasons put up by Eddie Starz. For the regular season, Malinowski led District 5B in scoring, 3-pointers with 58, and free throw shooting percentage with 75%. He also led the district in 3-point shooting last season, and he set school records this season with eight 3-pointers in a single game, 64 in a single season and 143 in his continuing career.
Malinowski has scored 716 points in his three-year career, and sits at sixth all-time in Lone Peak scoring. He also is fifth all-time in career assists with 138.
He earned Montana High School Association Male Athlete of the Week in January.

“In my opinion, post-season awards are a compliment to our entire program,” coach Malinowski stated in an email to EBS. “While the awards recognize individual players, they are a reflection of both our team’s success and the achievements of those players selected. For our relatively young roster to earn an 11-9 record against the difficult schedule we played this season was a challenge, and I am proud of our accomplishments.”
Malinowski noted that the team did not achieve all of its goals this season—the season ended with a quick exit from the district tournament—but the all-conference awards are a reflection of the respect the Big Horns have earned in their three seasons in Class B.
“Their selections are also a testament to their own athletic talents and hard work,” Malinowski stated. “I know I speak for the other players and coaches in congratulating them on their achievements.”

2025-26 was the fourth consecutive season in which two Big Horn boys earned all-conference honors, and the second consecutive season both LPHS players were first-team selections.
The Lone Peak girls team did not have any selections for the 2026 season.
