The long-running annual festival of culture and the arts will be back in town this weekend from Aug. 7-9. The festival has been around since 1949, showcasing local art, live music, dance, theater and offering plenty of food options. Sweet Pea will be held at Lindley Park.
All proceeds from the festival go toward local nonprofits, including Verge Theater, Eagle Mount, Random Acts of Silliness and Independance.
On Friday night, live music will start at 6 p.m. with three bands performing. On Saturday, live music starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Nude Party and ends with Digable Planets. Bands will also play throughout the festival’s three days and Sweet Pea shared a calendar of what attendees can expect.
Meghan Cosgrove, executive director of Sweet Pea, joined the team in February 2026 and shared what makes the festival special in this year’s full event calendar.
“It turns out that nearly everyone in the Gallatin Valley has a Sweet Pea memory—a first date, a childhood tradition, a song heard from a blanket on the grass that they’ve never forgotten,” Cosgrove said. “…This is your festival. Soak it in, cheer on the runners and the parade, explore every performance and booth, grab a bite, and let yourself be moved. The arts have a way of doing that.”
Presale ends on Aug. 6 and lists the three day weekend tickets for adults at $40 and children’s tickets as free. On the day of the festival, a three day pass will be $60.
