ALTA, Wyo. – Grand Targhee Resort on March 25 announced band lineups and early ticket specials for the 10th Annual Targhee Fest and the 27th Annual Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival.

Targhee Fest will be held July 18-20 this year, and the bluegrass festival will follow Aug. 8-10. For the ninth consecutive year, Targhee will host a music camp from Aug. 4-7.

The lifts may still be turning, but now’s the time to make your summer music plans.

Bands confirmed for Targhee Fest include the Royal Southern Brotherhood, The Wood Brothers, Charlie Hunter/Scott Amendola, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, The Hard Working Americans, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and southwest Montana’s own Hooligans.

The bluegrass festival includes some of the performers that highlighted this winter’s concert series at Big Sky Resort. The Sam Bush Band, The Travelin’ McCoury’s and Leftover Salmon with Bill Payne will all grace the outdoor stage on the western flank of the Tetons.

Town Mountain, Jayme Stone’s Lomax Project, Tim O’Brien and Darrell Scott, Nickel Creek, New Reeltime Travelers, David Bromberg Band, Eric Thorin and Ross Martin, Chris Jones and the Night Drivers and Greensky Bluegrass will help round out the lineup.

On March 26, Grand Targhee Resort began offering three-day, early bird tickets for both festivals in limited quantities, which include a free shuttle pass from Driggs. Camping passes are also available for the festivals, which include four nights of camping for tents or RVs.

The ninth annual Targhee Music Camp will offer classes for players of all ability in guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass, fiddle, singing and songwriting with some of the best acoustic musicians and teachers in the world. Jeff Austin from Yonder Mountain String Band is a featured instructor this year, and many scholarships are available for locals, youth, and the general picking public.

“I am beyond excited to be a part of the camp at Grand Targhee for 2014,” Ausitin said. “A new and beautiful experience I cannot wait to share with all those involved.”
