Application deadline is Aug. 1

HELENA – The Montana Office of Tourism has $500,000 available for tourism-related facility improvement projects through the 2013 Tourism Infrastructure Investment Program.

Nonprofit organizations, and local and tribal governments can apply for TIIP grants as part of the funding packages they use to improve Montana’s visitor attractions and facilities. The deadline for the 2013 TIIP grant applications is Aug. 1.

A webinar recording on the MTOT website is available to answer questions about the application materials.

“Over the years TIIP grants have invested over $4.7 million in tourism bed tax dollars into tourism projects across the state,” said Montana Commerce Department Director Meg O’Leary. “This investment has created jobs, paid for local building supplies and services and helped complete over $47 million in Montana tourism facility improvements.”

Program guidelines, application forms and information about eligible projects are available at travelmontana.mt.gov/forms or by contacting Victor Bjornberg at the Montana Office of Tourism, (406) 841-2795 or vbjornberg@mt.gov.

Megan Paulson is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Outlaw Partners.
