BIG SKY – Foursome signups are now open for the Big Sky branch of Big Brothers, Big Sisters’ 13th annual celebrity golf tournament on July 13-14 in Big Sky.
The event will commence with a cocktail party at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 13 at Big Sky Resort in the Talus Room of the Summit Hotel, and is open to the public by invitation.
The party will include hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and live music by Emmy Award-winning songwriter Jim Salestrom, as well as a silent and live auction, beginning at 8:30 p.m. An autographed painting by famed American West artist Tom Gilleon and a vacation package from Boyne Resorts will be available at the live auction. All proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers, Big Sisters – Big Sky Branch.
The celebrity golf tournament will begin at 11 a.m. on July 14 at the Big Sky Resort Golf Course with a shotgun start. Players are invited to arrive at 9 a.m. for registration and to receive their team gift. Hole-in-one prizes include a Gold Season Pass from Big Sky Resort, a hot tub donated by Nordic Hot Tubs, and a $5,000 gift card from Big Sky Conoco. Lunch will be provided and the day will conclude with an awards ceremony and reception at the Bunker Bar & Grill.
Celebrities will include former National Football League players Thurman Thomas, William Floyd, Tom Newberry, and Eric Dickerson, among others, as well as former Major League Baseball pitchers Matt Morris, and Greg Smith. Famed Southwest artist Tom Gilleon and musician Jim Salestrom will join the athletes.
