The 2024 Big Sky Collaborative Coat Drive launched on Tuesday, Oct. 15, collecting lightly worn, clean and warm coats until Nov. 30. Coats will be distributed to community members at The Wilson Hotel on Dec. 4 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Coats can be donated locally at First Security Bank, American Bank and BASE, with a special donation day at BASE on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m.—in exchange for a coat, donors will receive one free day pass to BASE.
The Big Sky Rotary Club will collect cash donations for new coat purchases, and Persnickety Cleaners will clean up to 200 coats for distribution day, according to a press release from organizers.
The annual coat drive is organized and supported by numerous community entities including Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, The Big Sky Real Estate Company, Big Sky Sotheby’s, Engel & Völkers, ERA Landmark Real Estate, Outlaw Realty, Pure West Christie’s, Big Sky Properties, Persnickety Dry Cleaners, American Bank, First Security Bank, BASE, Big Sky Thrift, Big Sky Rotary, and The Wilson Hotel, according to the release.
