Big Sky Noodles to remain in current location and serve pho year-round

Big Sky’s only ice cream-focused shop is moving its location by roughly 400 sugar cones on July 1, to the ground floor of The Wilson Hotel where it will join kid-friendly neighbor, the Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company.

Big Sky Scoops, founded in 2022 by siblings Janet and Brandon Tran, previously doubled in the winter as a pho business, Big Sky Noodles. As the ice cream shop moves into a year-round home across the Town Center Plaza, the Trans’ popular noodle business will stay in the existing kiosk and operate year-round.

The ice cream business signed a long-term lease, and the toy store—which opened in 2023—signed a long-term lease extension, according to a June 27 press release from the Town Center Owners Association. In addition to its new location, Scoops will begin selling chocolates from Le Chatelaine and sweets from Bequet Confections, both based in Bozeman.

“Our mission is to bring joy to your taste buds with high-quality, locally-sourced treats to delight candy enthusiasts of all ages,” Janet Tran stated in the release.

Starting July 1, Big Sky Scoops will be open daily from 2 to 10 p.m. in its new location.

Next door, the toy store will continue its summer hours, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week—open until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays for the Big Sky Farmers Market.
