Bozeman Mayor Terry Cunningham will present the annual State of the City address in two new locations, with hopes that more community members will attend. In the annual talk, open to the public, Bozeman’s mayor discusses the city’s status and upcoming priorities.
Duplicate presentations will be held on Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m. at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture, and on Wednesday, March 20 at Bozeman Fire Station 3 at 1705 Vaquero Parkway. They will also be live-streamed on the city’s Facebook page and available afterwards on YouTube.
Since “recent memory,” State of the City addresses were held at the City Hall Commission Room, according to a March 4 press release from the City of Bozeman.
“Bozeman City Commissioners want to change the format and location of this event to promote more interaction and to reach more members of our community,” Cunningham stated. “These are challenging times in our city, and we would all benefit from broadening the opportunities to gather and share ideas. I’ve often referred to our commission meetings as the community kitchen table—a place where people can come together and discuss things they care about. Let’s work together to build that spirit moving forward.”
The address will include a meet and greet with Mayor Cunningham and city commission members, and attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions for Cunningham to answer.
