Bridger Ski Foundation will hold its 58th annual Ski Swap on Nov. 7-8 at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. The event will offer more than 10,000 new and used items for alpine, Nordic, snowboarding and backcountry use.

The swap is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit, which was founded in 1936. Proceeds support youth ski programs for about 1,000 local children, scholarships and more than 80 kilometers of groomed trails around Bozeman, along with snowmaking at Sunset Hills.

“The tradition of the BSF Ski Swap runs deep,” BSF Communications Director Jenny White said in a press release from BSF. “It’s more than a place to shop; the entire weekend has a festive feel to it. Everyone is in good spirits and ready to kickoff ski season. For us, it’s also one of the ways we can keep skiing more accessible in our community, by recirculating winter gear and making it more affordable to get a winter setup.”

“Part of our mission is keeping skiing accessible, and the BSF Ski Swap is a huge part of that,” she added.

The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7. Admission is $5, and children under 12 get in free. Volunteers may enter at 8 a.m., and BSF members and trail pass holders at 9 a.m. The sale continues from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, with many items discounted. Sunday admission is $2 until noon and free after that.

Sellers should register consignment items online by Nov. 3, and drop them off at the fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6. Items registered after Nov. 3 can be dropped off from 1 to 7 p.m. BSF keeps a 25% commission on items that sell. Unsold items can be picked up from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Items left after that are kept by BSF, and some may be donated to local nonprofits.

More information about attending or selling gear can be found online.
