As the sun sets tonight, Feb. 10, the National Weather Service of Great Falls forecasts cold weather for Big Sky and extremely cold temperatures in Bozeman and Gallatin Gateway.
Big Sky and Ennis are expected to see temps as low as -16F, with wind chills as cold as -30F.
The Gallatin Valley is under an Extreme Cold Warning with dangerously cold wind chills as low as -40F, according to NWS. The warning recommends face coverings, hats and gloves if being outside is necessary as temps will be as low as -19F in Bozeman and -20F in Gallatin Gateway.
Gallatin Gateway School announced this afternoon that the building will be closed tomorrow, Feb. 11.
As of Feb. 10 at 3:50 p.m., the Extreme Cold Warning in Big Sky, Bozeman and Gallatin Gateway will expire on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.
