Get Bunched with Montana Chamber Music

Follow Outlaw Beat

Put a sport coat on over your flannel because we’re learning all about Montana Chamber Music, the local program that’s bringing top tier classical talent to Bozeman and all over rural Montana.

Artistic Director Angella Ahn (of the Ahn Trio) joins us to discuss bringing fancy chamber music to far flung ranches and she’s joined by two visiting virtuosos Kenji Bunch (composer, violist) and Monica Ohuchi (pianist).

These three all met while they were studying at Juilliard, so you know they’re legit. We learn that the difference between chamber music and orchestral music has to do with bodily functions. Also, if you think regular airline travel is a pain, try doing it with a $5,000 viola. Stick around until the end because Angella and Monica join Kenji to play a song he wrote and it’s just lovely.
