On May 18, community members donning capes and sneakers will run in the 11th annual Harbor’s Hero Run. The 5K race will start at 11 a.m. at Big Sky Community Park.
Lone Peak High School’s National Honor Society organizes the event, which will have face painting, prizes, a kids course, and food and refreshments. This year’s proceeds go to Wellness In Action’s youth scholarships for kids attending camps.

The run honors Harbor deWaard, a Big Sky kindergartner who passed away in 2015. He loved to wear superhero ensembles on any occasion, and in honor of his spirit, runners are encouraged to wear superhero gear.
Runners can sign up for $25 online.
