MSU basketball teams excel in Big Sky Conference

The Montana State men’s and women’s basketball teams have seen recent success as they blaze their way through the Big Sky Conference. The men came in strong in the second half on the night of Monday, March 11 in a 91-80 win over Weber State in the Big Sky Conference Tournament quarterfinals. The win moves the Cats to a semifinal matchup against Sacramento State tonight, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. Fans can watch from home on ESPN +.

Also on Monday night, the women’s team clinched a 47-44 overtime win against Northern Colorado in the Big Sky Conference Tournament quarterfinals. MSU coach Tricia Binford commended the team’s strong defense and a “wild game-ending sequence, in which the final three points came down to the final 37 seconds. On March 12, the women then faced off with top-seeded Eastern Washington, who ultimately prevailed with a winning score of 56-39.
