As the countdown to midnight begins, Big Sky, Bozeman and beyond is host to a multitude of New Year’s Eve events to ring in 2026. From fireworks in Big Sky, burlesque in Bozeman and hot springs in Paradise Valley, there’s something for all ages, and even those who know they won’t make it until midnight. Here’s a collection of local events curated by EBS editors to ensure your evening is a memorable one.
Aprés Ski at Big Sky Resort
Big Sky Resort will host an aprés ski on New Year’s Eve. DJ Jenn ‘N Juice will play at Everett’s 8800 from 12 to 3 p.m., and then down at the Mountain Village Plaza, Tanner will play from 3 to 6 p.m. followed by Paige and The People’s Band from 6 to 9 p.m.
Fireworks
Big Sky Resort will put on a show in the base area starting at 9 p.m., visible from anywhere in the Mountain Village and surrounding area.
Party at Montana Jack’s
During and after fireworks, Montana Jack’s in Vista Hall is hosting a party including music, dancing, drinks and dinner.
Moonlight at Midnight
One&Only Moonlight Basin will host a Moonlight at Midnight New Year’s Eve party, featuring live music by Stephanie Quayle and DJ James Compton, craft cocktails and late night bites. The “refined alpine soirée” starts at 9 p.m. at The Landing restaurant.
Gallatin Valley events
Sparkle Spectacular
Sparkle Spectacular kicks off at 6 p.m. at The Rialto in downtown Bozeman featuring burlesque performances and a cocktail party atmosphere.
Dinner at Plonk
Plonk Wine Bar will host a four-course dinner with wine pairings, live music, and a Champagne toast. The reservation-only event begins at 6 p.m., with a midnight balloon drop.
Rooftop Party at Sky Shed
Sky Shed on the rooftop of the Armory Hotel will host a party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., with a live DJ, light bites and a Champagne toast at midnight.
Party at Ponderosa Social
Ponderosa Social Club’s party includes a curated dinner and wine or cocktail pairings, followed by a party with a live DJ and a midnight ball drop. Dinner starts at 6 p.m., followed by a general party open to all.
Countdown to Noon at The Emerson
The Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture will host a kid-friendly New Year’s celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., featuring games, crafts and a festive ball drop at noon.
Contra Dance
The Bozeman Senior Center will host its New Year’s Contra Dance from 6:30 p.m. to midnight, with a potluck, dance workshop and live music. The event is open to all ages, with dance instructions for beginners.
Paradise Valley events
Live Music at Chico Hot Springs
Local classic rock band Blackwater will play at Chico Hot Springs starting at 9 p.m. The event features high-energy live music and a lively dance floor, in addition to the hot spring facility.
Trout ‘Ball’ Drop at Sage Lodge
Sage Lodge will host a family-friendly party, including a dinner buffet, live music and the signature Trout “Ball” Drop—“a playful nod to Paradise Valley’s fly-fishing heritage,” according to the Sage Lodge website—at 10 p.m. The event offers a sparkling toast and a dedicated Kids Rockin’ New Year’s Eve celebration.
