The Ranch at Rock Creek in late January became the first and only Montana property to be awarded a Five-Star rating by Forbes Travel Guide.
Prior to opening its doors as a luxury guest ranch in spring 2010, the 6,600-acre property outside of Phillipsburg was a working ranch for more than a century.
To determine the ratings, Forbes’ professional inspectors use a rigorous evaluation process with more than 500 criteria, establishing a global benchmark for luxury travel, according to information from Forbes. The Four Seasons Resort and Residences in Jackson, Wyo. was also given a Five-Star rating.
Actress Kate Bosworth and director Michael Polish were married at Rock Creek this past summer, something Carol Ann Kelley-Elwell, who does public relations for the ranch, says drew significant media coverage.
“Most importantly, it’s really great for the region,” Elwell says. “It’s great for Montana to have a Five- Star [property].”
Open all year, the ranch offers all-inclusive Montana Ski Escape package offers luxury accommodations and gourmet dining, snow activities on the ranch’s private acreage, and day trips to Discovery Ski Area, 25 minutes away.
