Sheriff seeks public help in search for missing hiker

The Gallatin and Madison County sheriff’s offices have requested the public’s assistance in their search for a missing hiker in the Spanish Creek area of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness.

Randall “Randy” Bennett is a 50-year-old white male with pattern baldness, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds. Bennett was last known to be in Bozeman on the evening of Sept. 24, and his vehicle was located at the Spanish Creek trailhead, reportedly parked there for at least one week, according to a press release from the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office.
