The Department of Public Health and Human Services announced in a Nov. 13 press release that the full balance of November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits will be made available to recipients as soon as Saturday, Nov.15.
The change follows updated guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service following the end of the federal government shutdown. Partial benefits were issued Nov. 9. The remaining balance will appear on EBT cards in the coming days. In December, SNAP benefit amounts and distribution will return to the regular schedule, according to the press release.
Clients can check their EBT balances by calling the dedicated EBT Cardholder Help Desk at 1-866-850-1556 or by visiting.mybnft.com.
