Big Sky Town Center is undergoing active construction and infrastructure improvements, according to a release from Lone Mountain Land Company.
As part of the next phase of the Powder Light employee housing project, large modular boxes have been staged southeast of the Town Center roundabout. The units will remain in place until construction begins later this fall on an additional building between Ace Hardware and the existing Powder Light buildings, according to the release.
Construction is also active in the south residential area, located near Ousel Falls Road on the land formerly made available for Big Sky’s skijoring event. The south residential construction site will be closed indefinitely and is marked by a green boundary on the map shared by LMLC. Despite fencing and signage, LMLC stated there have been reports of individuals entering the restricted area. The release asks community members to respect barriers and avoid entering the site.
On July 24 and 25, a short section of the gravel path beside Ousel Falls Road will be temporarily closed due to the construction.
“Trail Closed” signs have been posted along the trail, and “Pedestrian Crossing” signs are in place along Ousel Falls Road to help pedestrians navigate the area, though the nearby Bluff and River Loop trails will remain fully open.
Additional trail connections near the Uplands View and Copper John residential units may be evaluated following nearby summer events, according to the release.
Initial grading is expected to be completed by Aug. 1. Infrastructure work will continue into the fall. LMLC asks community members to email info@lonemountainland.com with additional questions.
LMLC also recently announced its new Town Center hotel, with construction underway near Town Center Plaza.
