BIG SKY – On Monday Feb. 11, the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center received a $25,000 grant from the Montana Office of Tourism’s Tourism E-Marketing Technology Grant Program, through the Montana Department of Commerce.

The grant was developed in 2012 to help Montana businesses improve their competitive e-marketing position within the tourism industry, according to a press release from MTOT.

“The digital landscape is evolving at such a rapid pace that in order to stay competitive businesses must incorporate digital technology into their marketing initiatives,” said Commerce Director Meg O’Leary, who approved the funding. “These trends offer travel marketers new and cost-efficient ways of connecting with consumers before, during and after their trips.”

WMPAC was one of nine projects chosen to receive funding, which totaled $150,000 and was divvied out to eight Montana communities.

Big Sky School District Superintendent Jerry House expects the arts center to be completed by the end of February.

“It’s nice to see things moving along,” House said.
